THE ORDER PROCESS

Q. HOW DO I ORDER DOWNLOADS, PRINTS AND GIFT ITEMS FROM THE PICTURES ON THIS SITE?

A.  At the end of every photo gallery we create starting in August 2018,  there will be a link to www.thefinalquarter.com where you can purchase downloads of any of these photos as well as prints and a variety of gift items. If you will be a regular buyer of photos and gifts from the site, we strongly encourage you to become a registered user. This will allow you to save your favorite photos for a later visit and progress through the order process more rapidly on subsequent visits.

All funds raised beyond the supplier's costs goes directly to the NCC Boosters and back into sports programming.

Q. WHY AM I HAVING SUCH A HARD TIME ORDERING ON MY PHONE?

A. We strongly suggest that people purchase from thefinalquater.com site using a desktop or laptop computer. When ordering, you are usually creating custom products that require decisions on editing and positioning that cannot be accurately or efficiently done on a phone. Nor are you able to see the pictures in a sufficient size to make a determination of their fit for your purposes. We want the process to be easy and the products to be exactly as you order them. Please avoid ordering on a phone.

Q. WHO PROCESSES MY ORDER?

A. The e-commerce site you order through is powered by Zenfolio. The photo processing and shipping is done by some of the country's best photo labs to ensure quality.  Products are shipped directly from the suppliers. Please note that the photographer is not involved in any way in order processing, payments, fulfillment or shipping.

Q. I DON'T LIKE TO ORDER ON-LINE. DO YOU ACCEPT CASH? CAN I BUY A USB OR CD CONTAINING THE PICTURES?

A. All transactions are handled through the site. The Zenfolio systems accepts all major credit cards and PayPal. USBs, CDs or email file transfer sales are not available.

Q: WHY DOES IT SAY KOLLETH PHOTO AT CHECK OUT?

A. Due to regulations regarding the collection of sales tax from on-line sales, I needed to create a business name. And that's it.

PRODUCTS

Q. THE SITE WON'T LET ME PRINT A PARTICULAR PHOTO ON AN ITEM -- OR IT IS CROPPED ODDLY. WHY?

A. There are times when the geometrical format of a photo and the format of the item don't jibe. For example, photos on mugs must wrap around the object. As a result, a vertical pictures won't work well. In those cases, it's best to choose another picture or item to create,

Q. I AM INTERESTED IN LARGER SIZE PHOTOS, CREATING A BOOK AND OTHER OPTIONS. ARE THEY AVAILABLE?

A. Yes. we have selected a variety of products believed to meet the needs of the majority of parents. If, however, you are interested in something not listed, just ask and we will do my best to accommodate your request.

Q. CAN I JUST SAVE OR TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF A PHOTO FROM THE SITE?

A. It's physically possible, It's also unethical and against the spirit  of the fundraiser. Every penny past the price of the materials charged by the supplier goes directly to the NCC Boosters and/or Special Olympics and back into programs for these groups. The price of these photos is incredibly low considering the time and equipment necessary to produce them. Please support this program ... and the Eighth Commandment.

QUALITY

Q. MY PRINTS ARE CROPPED IN A WAY OTHER THAN WHAT I SAW IN THE GALLERY. WHY?

A. The aspect ratio of an image does not always match the standard dimensions of a print. Minor cropping can occur to fill the dimensions of a specified print size. Some images within an order may be cropped to accommodate a certain print size, while others are not. In the vast majority of cases, if you order on a desktop or laptop (which you should!)  you will be able to make the crop decisions on the photo.

Q. MY PRINTS LOOK DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I SEE ON THE SCREEN. OR THEY PRINT DIFFERENTLY AT HOME THAN WHAT I SEE ON-LINE. WHY?

A. Every screen display is unique. Just like the appearance of one television to the next in an electronics store, colors on a variety of displays can differ widely. To lessen the variance between the color you see on screen and your prints, a regularly calibrated and profiled display is necessary.  Most people don't do that. I get it. We work with labs  that color-correct the photos.

Q. WHAT CAN I DO IF I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH MY ORDER?

A. We want you to be totally satisfied with the products and services from this site.  If for whatever reason you are not satisfied, please let me know and I will do my very best to correct the situation.  But please remember that I am volunteer and this is is a fundraiser.

Q, CAN I JUST BUY THE HIGH-RESOLUTION DOWNLOAD AND PRINT AT HOME OR A LOCAL STORE?

A. You sure can. But we strongly advise you to use a professional lab for printing. Consider using MPix online. Print services at local big box retailers are frankly, awful. They do not have the ink color ranges or quality paper necessary to reproduce these high-resolution images. Spend the extra five cents a picture and make beautiful prints that won't fade three weeks after graduation.

GENERAL

Q. WHY DON'T YOU TAKE PICTURES OF JV AND NCCE SPORTS?

A. I'm just a volunteer with a very limited amount of time to devote to this fundraiser. For that reason we've decided to focus on varsity sports.

Q. ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR SENIOR PORTRAITS, FAMILY PICTURES, WEDDINGS, EVENTS ETC...?

A. Thank you for asking, but no.

Q. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MORE PICTURES OF MY ATHLETE?

A. I strive to take good pictures of all the athletes. It's an important part of this role. But don't hessite to stop me at a game with a gentle reminder. Sometimes I just miss it.One surefire way to ensure more pictures of your athlete is to buy the pictures as they appear. This is a fundraiser. I watch which pictures sell and take more pictures of those players.

Q. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO KNOW WHEN NEW PHOTOS HAVE BEEN POSTED TO THE SITE?

A. Simple! Just follow us on Facebook. It's our social media channel of choice.

Q: HOW CAN I GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU?

A: I always like to hear from you. Just drop me a line on the contact page. Please remember: I'm a just volunteer.
